English

In addition to the theoretical discussion on the merits and limitations of the concept itself, the available empirical data increasingly demonstrate a reality that is well worth examining. The role of Zimbabwean civil society in the formation of a credible democratic opposition to Robert Mugabe?s regime provides an exemplary illustration of this.
