Gaetano Mosca’s Two-Fold Theory of Political Class
By Alfio Mastropaolo
English
The author highlights the presence of a two-fold theory in Mosca?s work on political class. He shows that if this theory constitutes a principal model drawn up by Mosca in his various publications, a second theory appears in his work Theory of governments and parliamentary government. This latter approach appears to be the most interesting, and after providing a broad description of it, this paper goes on to examine its interest to a study of the present-day political class.
