This paper analyzes the integration of ten new member states of the European Union, and in particular its impact on their institutional frameworks and the contents of their public policies. In parallel, it also discusses the actions of the political and civil society actors concerned. To this end, it makes use of two concepts, namely Europeanization and institutional transfers, which will be discussed jointly in a comparative perspective.
