This study compares major trends in European elections in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe since their accession to the European Union. Beyond the different nationalities, the study shows that the thesis of specific types of voting behavior in the region should be adjusted in light of the latest European elections. As in the West but even more forcefully, the course and results of these elections show signs of disenchantment with democracy, which is accentuated by the financial crisis.
