Thema: Mobilizations in Latin America
By Camille Goirand
English

This paper first addresses the intensity of mobilizations for protests in Latin America during the twentieth century as well as their transformation since the beginning of the 2000s in terms of political environment, themes, and strategies for action. The paper then discusses research divides that still structure the analysis of Latin American social movements. Finally, it launches the debate proposed in this issue over directions for revisiting conceptual and theoretical approaches.
