For a Comparative Analysis of the Transnationalization of Solidarities. The World March of Women as a Complex Transnational “Object”

In the literature on collective action and social movements, the analysis of transnationalization poses significant challenges, both theoretical and empirical. Building on the example of the World March of Women, a complex object of analysis, we propose a comparative analysis of the transnationalization of solidarities. We argue that this research strategy is necessary to take into account both the complex local-global relations in the building of transnational solidarities and the fact that the transnational object is also a whole, superior to the sum of its parts.
